Having your portraits done in a natural setting is a double win because you get a beautiful landscape to compliment your beautiful family.  Courtney Delano Photography loves to combine the gorgeous Oregon outdoors with fun and loving families.  Some tips for having a successful family session with a little one: schedule the session for after nap time and don’t forget to bring snacks and water.  Babies pick up on your stress, so let go of the idea of being perfect and just play with and love on your baby.  A good lifestyle photographer will help keep you calm and allow you to be yourselves. It’s always fun to try and make some interesting, unique portraits during senior session, as well as the traditional ones. This young lady went to have her hair cut after this session, so it could be more manageable while attending West Point this Fall!  So I’m really glad we got some portraits that showcased her gorgeous locks.

One thing I’ve come to really love about senior photography, is capturing that moment in time where a young person is becoming an adult and finding their unique gifts and their place in the world.  This was one of my absolute favorite sessions from last year.  I hope Amanda can always look back at these pictures if she ever needs a reminder of just how much is possible, and how much beauty she brings to the world.  To see more of this session, or to book a session of your own, head over to Courtney Delano Photography.

We all know that family isn’t all laughter and snuggles all the time.  But I can’t help but think that it would be amazing to have a such a joyful moment as this on your wall to see everyday.  And maybe on the rough days you would look at it and think “ah, this is what all this work is for.”  See more from this fun lifestyle family session on Courtney Delano Photography’s blog.
