Chris and Camille wanted a cute anniversary session in the Columbia River Gorge scenic area. We decided on the Portland Women’s Forum State Scenic Viewpoint in Corbett, OR. It’s an easy drive, just 25 minutes from Portland, Oregon. This is the perfect place to get stunning couple photos in the George. It is a stunning example of Pacific Northwest scenery.

We highly recommend celebrating milestone anniversary dates with a cute photo session so you can go back and see how much y’all have changed over the years as a couple. We have had couples get new outfits for these sessions or even bring out their wedding clothing to get couples and/or family photos. The fun part of doing an anniversary session is you can take the time to get stunning photos with out all the stress of a wedding.

Some tips for an anniversary session:

  • Make it special by getting pampered for this event.
  • Go to a beautiful location that you did not have time to go to on your wedding day.
  • If you want to include your pets or children bring a family member to watch them after their photos are done, so you can get some cute couple photos.
  • Go to dinner after the shoot as you’re already dressed up.
  • Share your photos with family and friends.

Tulip Festival Bridal Shoot I just went to the Woodburn Tulip for the first time and it was gorgeous! I got to do a bridal photoshoot for Billy and Karen for their pre-wedding photos. They’re having a big reception in Hong Kong this fall so we took photos to display on an easel and in albums at their wedding reception. It was so much fun just wandering around the acres of tulips. I wish tulips were around longer than just a month or so each year, they’re so beautiful! Congratulations Karen and Billy, I’m so excited to get your double volume albums printed! See the rest here at Erica Ann Photography!

Summer Sunset Wedding Photography

I love summer sunsets in Portland! A better yet are sunset weddings!

I was on the Crystal Dolphin for a wedding last night and there was a beautiful sunset and it has me so excited for the summer.

I also couldn’t help but think of this amazing sunset at Lindsay and Steven’s wedding.  Their wedding took place at The Troutdale House by the Sandy River.  We were actually all done with taking portraits for the day and were well into the reception when I ran out to my car. When I turned around I saw this amazing sunset. I ran inside and told the couple to just give me 10 minutes and they wouldn’t regret it.

And they didn’t!

This image became a large canvas for the wall in their home and the sister image to this is the front of their wedding album.

While this summer is almost booked we do have a couple dates left, contact Photography by Cambrae about booking your own sunset wedding portrait session via our website or call us at (503) 706-0130.

I have photographed weddings where Molly has been a bridesmaid, a maid of honor, a close friend of the couple  – I’ve gotten to know her and her now-fiance, AJ, really well. Spoiler alert – they’re pretty awesome! The first time I met AJ, he gave me a hamburger during a portrait session, instantly making him one of my favorite people. And, it says quite a bit about Molly’s character that she is considered such a close friend to so many wonderful people. Honestly, my summers wouldn’t be quite the same without getting to celebrate at a wedding with Molly & AJ. This year is extra special, because this Fall, they’re getting married! I’m so excited! Here’s a photo from their engagement session last weekend. Can’t wait to share their wedding images!

Cannon Beach is one of the most photographed beaches on the Oregon Coast which is no surprise due to it’s natural Oregon Coast beauty. This small cottage town is recognized by its well-known landmark, the huge iconic monolith Haystack Rock. This igneous rock has an elevation of 235 feet and is protected as a marine sanctuary, Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge. With all of this natural beauty it is probably the best location for engagement photos in all of Oregon!

Lan Su Garden Proposal

Matt kept texting me about how anxious he was, and asking if all the people were out yet. I drew him a diagram of exactly where he should stop so I could hide in the bushes and get a good view. I had a second shooter, Cambrae getting them from a different angle just in case. You never know what’s going to happen so its super crucial to have back up! Andrea tried to lead them around the bridge, but Matt convinced her to go to the spot we had planned out. He got down on that good ole knee of his and of course she said yes!

Afterwards we took a stroll around the secluded garden where Matt and Andrea basically just goofed around and enjoyed their newly engaged selves. Congratulations you two! Matt, ya done good! See the entire proposal shoot here.

When the wildflowers are blooming at Rowena Crest in the Columbia Gorge, it is such a gorgeous spot for an engagement session! Andrea Zajonc had so much fun capturing HaLee + Dave’s session there earlier this month! Check out the rest of the photos on her blog!

portland-engagement-photographer All of the nice weather we’ve been having lately has be amazing for engagement portrait season. This engagement session was done in Woodland Washington at the Holland America Bulb Farm, where they are known for their beautiful tulip fields, and nearby along the Columbia River. We couldn’t help ourselves with the lovely light and the tall spring grass growing to get a shot outside of the tulips.

After a romantic early Valentine’s day dinner at Departure, Travis walked his bride to be, Riann, along the waterfront. Little did she know the photographer they just passed “taking pictures of the bridge” was about to become a part of her proposal story.   As soon as I saw Travis go down on one knee I turned my camera towards them and was able to capture some priceless expressions. I moment none of us will soon forget.

After the ring was on her finger, and she knew I was in on it, we spent some more time walking around together taking pictures by the Hawthorne Bridge and the World Trade Center Portland.

I am so excited to be the newest member of Photographers of Portland, being surrounded by so many other great creative photographers is a joy.

Every time I look at this picture of Stacey & Choncy I can’t help but smile, their love and affection for each other is so obvious in this sweet simple image taken at Portland’s Laurelhurst Park. We really lucked out when we went as the day ended up being beautiful and even a bit sunny.  I look forward to sharing images from their wedding soon.
